Prayercast: Permanent Teacher Vacancies to be Filled and Substitute Teachers
Prayer Of Adoration
Your covenant of love with Your servants who continue wholeheartedly in Your way. You have kept Your promises to Your servants with Your mouth. You have promised with Your hand, and You have fulfilled it. We adore You, Lord. There is no one like You, Lord, and there is no God but You. We adore You, Lord. Lord, You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. Power and might are in Your hands. No one can withstand You. If calamity comes upon us, we will stand in Your presence and cry out to You in our distress, and You will hear us and save us. We adore You, Lord.
Blessed be Your glorious name, and may it be exalted above all blessings and praise. You alone are the Lord. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry hosts, the earth and all that is on it, and the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship You. We adore You, Lord.
Lord God, You perform wonders that cannot be fathomed and miracles that cannot be counted. We adore You, Lord. You, Lord, are a shield around us, our glory, the one who lifts our heads high. We adore You, Lord. Lord, You are our light and our salvation. Whom shall we fear? You are the stronghold of our life. Whom shall we be afraid of? For in the day of trouble, You will keep us safe in Your dwelling. You will hide us in the shelter of Your sacred tent and set us high upon a rock. We adore You, Lord. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Prayer of confession. Hallelujah. Glory and honor to the Lord, our God. Lord, we confess and acknowledge Your goodness and grace, which You have shown us. Father, let our testimony be such that there is no doubt in anyone’s mind who we stand with. We confess Jesus as our Lord, and we possess salvation. We are Christian teachers and followers of Christ. We will let Jesus be seen when we exchange work-related conversations with our colleagues, during easy and challenging interactions with our students, and throughout parent-teacher conferences.
We recognize the power of our words to kill or give life. We faithfully acknowledge the Lord Jesus before men through our words and ways. We confess we are branches of the living vine, and we possess Jesus’ life wherever we go. We confess the love of God is shared abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, and we possess the ability to love everyone. We are filled with the love of God, and it flows through us continually.
Lord, we are strong and courageous. We do not fear the principalities which come against educators by means of unjust or unrealistic pedagogical practices, for it is You, God, who goes with us. We affirm You will not leave or forsake us. We confess the righteous are bold as a lion. We possess lion-hearted boldness in spiritual warfare. We command all parasites to die and come from around us in the name of Jesus.
Lord, You are our shepherd, guiding and directing our daily classroom decisions, lessons, and careers. Since we trust and depend on You for leadership, all of our needs are met. We confess God will never leave nor forsake us. We possess the presence of God in each step we take. The kingdom of God lives in our spirit.
We confess by Jesus’s stripes we are healed, and we possess healing for our bodies from the crown of our head to the sole of our feet, brought on by the tension of work and the immorality of the world we experience day to day. We confess that, by Jesus’ stripes, we are healed. We hold fast to our confession 24/7, and no disease can stand before us. The atoms in our soul and body know that we believe, hear what we say, and behave accordingly.
We confess the anointing of the Holy One that abides in us. We possess yoke-destroying results by anointing to serve as interceptors by praying on behalf of our students to come to see Christ through us as well as propel them to academic success. It is when we confess the word of God and hold fast to our confession that we see our deliverance. In Jesus’ name, we confess and possess. Amen. Hallelujah. Thank You, Lord.

Prayer of Thanksgiving. Dear God of grace and peace, we thank You for making us children of the light, children who live daily in the hope of glory. Father God, thank You that we are called to reflect Your light in our schools. Help us never to forget that we are not of the night and we are not of darkness, but we are children of the day who look with expectation for Your return, Jesus. Help us, Lord Jesus, as we wait when You will bring those who are asleep and those who are still awake together into Your presence face to face. We cannot wait, Jesus.
Father God, we thank You for the gift of prayer, the gift that keeps us in communication with You. Let us pray without ceasing and give thanks in all circumstances. Father God, we thank You that, as believers, we grieve differently knowing that we will see our loved ones again. Father, help us when there is a death at our school to be a comfort through You, Lord. Give us sensitivity and the words to grieve with hope as we bear each other’s burdens in grief.
Lord, we thank You that we don’t have to depend on anyone or anything besides You. Lord, when our technology fails, You are there. When our students are squirrely and don’t want to listen, You see them. When our lessons are less than perfect, You give us the creativity and ideas to engage our students. Father, thank You for walking into our buildings with us each day. Lord, we cannot do our jobs and live this life without Your grace and mercy. Help us share this truth with everyone You put in our hearts. We pray in thanksgiving in Your matchless and mighty name, Lord Jesus. Amen.
Prayer Of Supplication
Prayer of supplication. Father God, we come to You with thanksgiving and expectation. As we lift this prayer of supplication, we thank You in advance for answering our prayers in Your way, in Your timing, and with Your love, wisdom, and grace. Father God, we ask that all permanent teacher spots be filled. We thank You for these jobs being opened and that You have already anointed people to be in these spaces.
We pray that they listen for Your calling to them to these spots and move forward into them with open, obedient, and expectant hearts. We thank You in advance for opening their minds and hearts to serve You and others. We thank You that You are closing their ears to anything that will distract them from entering their purpose and filling these spots or helping turn their hearts to be so obedient to You, Father, that they are obedient despite what they may see, think, or feel.
We praise You because You know who to put in these positions and when, Father God. It’s not in our timing but in Yours, Lord. We thank You, God, for substitute teachers. Thank You for those in place, those that are being set in place, and those that will be set in place thanks to Your might, purpose, and wisdom, Father.

We thank You for giving them patience and love for the students, not just on the great days, but on the rough days as well. We thank You that you are placing and have placed godly men and women in place for these spots to be filled.
You, Lord God, are magnificent. You know who to send and when to send them. We pray that they are obedient to You. We pray that they receive their peace, joy, strength, love, and mercy from You, Father God. We pray that they don’t look at what is going on around them except to lift it to You in thanksgiving and prayer. We pray all of this right down in the name of Jesus. Amen. Ephesians 1:18-19, I ask that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know the hope of His calling, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and His incomparably great power for us who believe.
