In 2022 we will be centering ourselves around Christ through short studies of words that begin with the letter C. Come Holy Spirit and fill us with yearning to know you closer!
Our desire for you, dear educators, is that through these scriptures, prayers and reflections you are sustained and refreshed as you return to the classroom each day. Relish in the knowledge that educators around the world are devoting themselves to reading the Word of God and to prayer in schools. Receive each week’s devotion as a gift and allow God to use them to enrich your relationship with Jesus.
Serving Christ with you in education!

CONSECRATE – What does it mean?
To give, declare, devote or set apart something entirely to God
OT Scripture
Joshua 3:5 (ESV)
Then Joshua said to the people, “consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.”
NT Scripture
Romans 12:1-2 (NIV)
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God- this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is- His good, pleasing and perfect will.
Consider – What do you have today, that you are willing to consecrate to God in 2022?
Will it be your time, a talent, a relationship…?
Our All Powerful God can take your consecrated offering and multiply it! He did it with a boy’s meager lunch to feed thousands. (John 6:1-13) He did it for a widow with a little ordinary olive oil to abundantly provide for her family. (2 Kings 4:1-7) And He did it for you through the blood of one Lamb which was multiplied to cover the sins of every believer! (John 1:29-34)
What a Wonder Working God we worship and glorify!
So what will you consecrate to God so that He can multiply it for His Kingdom this new year?
Call to Action!
Write down the thing that you have decided to devote entirely to God. Put the word or phrase for this offering in a prominent place near your work area at school and at home. Use it when you create passwords, journal about it and meditate on it. Share it with a friend who you can count on to ask you about it throughout the year and with whom you can boast about how God is multiplying what you have set aside for Him!
Closing Prayer
Dear Father God, You are Alpha and Omega and our first Friend!
Thank You for blessing us in so many unexpected ways and bringing us through another year of teaching by Your grace. Pour Your Spirit into us as we enter our school each day and devote ourselves to being a living sacrifice. Keep us from the impurity of the world around us and create in us clean hearts as we begin 2022. Use the consecrated gift we are offering back to You today and multiply it to impact many in our classroom, school and community.
To You be all glory, honor and praise!
We pray in the mighty name of Jesus! Amen
