Prayercast: EOY Testing And Schools Under State Control Or On Probation

Teachers Who Pray | Schools Under State Control

Waiting is probably more frustrating than receiving a clear, firm “no” from God because you can cry about a no for a time and begin the healing process toward closure. The key to waiting well is to realize that God knows best and constantly affirm his good intentions in your mind and heart. That becomes hard when we get stuck rooting for what we want and leave little to no room for God to be sovereign in the situation. Join us in this episode as we pray for success in EOY Testing, strength and perseverance for schools under state control, and the overall improvement of children’s academics. Yielding our will to God is certainly a spiritual discipline! So have faith—not just in what you want but in God’s best judgment.

Prayercast: EOY Testing And Schools Under State Control Or On Probation

Welcome teachers and educators to the Teachers Who Pray Prayercast. We have educators from different parts of the country gathered together to seek God and to pray for you. Their prayers follow the ACTS Prayer Model, which is an acronym for Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving and Supplication. This prayer model helps to focus our hearts on who God is and what he has done before we turn our hearts to asking him for his continued work.

You may want to try this model yourself to open up your conversation with God to help you feel more comfortable in talking with God freely and also resting in silence with Him. As you pray along with our sisters, may the grace and love of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Prayer Of Adoration

Welcome to Teachers Who Pray. Thank you so much for joining us. We are going to start with our Prayer of Adoration. Father God, Prince of Peace, Holy of Holies, Grand Architect of the universe, Jehovah Jireh, our provider, God Almighty, we give you honor. We give you glory. We give you recognition. Praise you, Lord our God. We exalt you. You are our strength and our redeemer. There is none like you, Lord. You are good and your mercy endured forever. We praise you in the morning. We praise you in the noonday, God. We praise you at night. God, we praise you every day.

You are the name above all names, God. How great is our God? You are worthy to be praised, God. How great is our God for you? My God is awesome. God, you are awesome. Lord, you are good and your mercy endured forever. We adore you. We worship you, God, for who you are. You are good all the time, God, and all the time you are good, Lord. You are amazing, God. You are an amazing God. God Almighty, Lord Almighty, we adore you. We love you, God. We thank you for being in our lives, God.

God, you are a healer. You are great, God. You are higher than any other, God. There is none like you, God. You are awesome in power, God. All that I am I owe to you, God. We owe all to you, God. To God be the glory. To God be the glory, God, for the things that you have done. You have done great things in our lives, God, and will continue to do great things, God. We just give you thanks, God, for we adore you, we uplift you, we give you praises, God, this day.

In Jesus’ name, there is power in your name, God. Power. We thank you, God. We adore you. We are grateful, and we live in gratitude and are grateful for you. We live, move, and have our very being in you in all things. Thanks be to God. We love you, Lord. We adore you. Blessed be your name, God. We thank you for this opportunity to give you adoration. Forever and ever, in Jesus’ name, we thank you, God, for this opportunity to say prayers of adoration. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Prayer of Confession. Father God, we come to you today boldly with our prayer of confession. Father, we know that we have sinned. Your word says that all have sin and fall short of the glory of God. We know that this is not to condemn those who are in Christ but to alert us of the need for Christ. Your word shows us that we need you and that we cannot have salvation without Jesus. We see in your word that you love us enough to show us that we need you and cannot do this life or reach eternal life with you without submitting ourselves to you.

Prayer Of Confession

Right now, we take the next twenty seconds to just confess our sins to you, Father God. We confess that we don’t always respect the anointing that you have placed on others and even in ourselves. At times, our moods and frustrations get in a way and we can be disrespectful, intentionally or unintentionally to what you are doing, who you have called, and even to the fact that you have called us to be in places that you have called us to doing what you have called us to do.

Father God, you send people into our lives to mentor us, to minister us. Help us to not turn up our noses or look down on others and please remove from us any haughtiness or any heart posture, attitude or mindset does not align with your will and your word. We know that the dividedness gives itself will not function properly, so help us to function well with other believers, Father God.

At times, we do not always love others the way that we should. You tell us to love others as we love ourselves. You say that if we do not know love, God, we do not know you. Father, please forgive us for this sin. Help us to love others as we love ourselves. Help us to love ourselves more as the creations that you have created us to be and to not focus on past sins because you have told us to cast all anxiety on you, and when we do not do that, we are not living in obedience to you. Help us to think of others more highly than we do ourselves. As Jesus loves, as you love us, so shall we imitate and love others.

Father, we don’t always give or do with the cheerful heart. We know that your word says to give cheerfully is do everything’s unto you. Help us have renewed mindsets and heart postures regarding what you have called us to do and to have the discernment to know what is of you and what you’re calling us to do and what you are not calling us to do. Help us to give without worry of breaking or bending because you are with us. Whatever you have called us to do, you will strengthen us to be able to do God.

Father, we see in all these things that we need to examine our hearts. Please enlighten us and show us any way in any area that we are not living according to your standards and help us not to feel condemned, but to be convicted in a lot of Holy Spirit to continue to do that work, and that said, you said you would not stop until the day of completion. I confess right now that we need you to continue to cleanse our hearts and our minds, and we thank you in advance for renewing us and restoring us to be with you and aligning with your word in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

Prayer Of Thanksgiving

Prayer of Thanksgiving. Dear Heavenly Father, we come to you to give you thanks. Our heart’s desire is to be able to rejoice always, pray without ceasing and in everything, give thanks because that is your will for us, in Christ Jesus. We give thanks to you, Lord, for you are good and your loving kindness is everlasting. We praise you, Lord, for you have lifted us up and have not let our enemies rejoice over us. Lord, our God, we cried to you for help and you healed us. Lord, you have brought up our souls from the depths of the Earth. You have kept us alive so that we will not go down to the pit. We sing praises to the Lord and give thanks to your holy name.

We thank you for your faithfulness to us throughout this school year. We thank you because you have loved us. We thank you because you have protected us, you have led us, and you have encouraged us. We thank you for our administrators who work hard to serve the children and to serve us. We thank you for the parents who are trying their very best to raise their children and to support us. We thank you for the substitutes and colleagues who step in to allow us to take the leave that we need. We thank you for the field trips and assemblies to spark the joy in the hearts of our students.

We thank you for the progress that a struggling student has been making. We thank you for our creative staff members who help our building sparkle. We thank you for the custodial staff members who help us have clean and safe environments. We thank you for the people we can text or call to give us bathroom breaks. We thank you for the times that we discover we have interests and hobbies in common with colleagues, and we thank you for all the times that you have encouraged our hearts as we have dedicated our gifts and our talents to you. We thank you, Lord. Amen.

Prayer Of Supplication

Prayer of Supplication. Lord God, thank you for your grace and mercy. Thank you for hearing us when we pray. Lord, by faith, we trust you to go before us, to be with us and not leave or forsake us. Therefore, we will not be afraid or discouraged. Deuteronomy 3:18. Lord, we come asking you to be with Christian students, teachers, and administrators regarding the end-of-year testing. Lord, we ask for students to come to school rested and alert. Let the meals students eat before testing help to buffer their stomach, nerves, and anxieties.

Lord, help the students to relax and feel confident. Touch their minds to remember academic information, formulas and strategies, which will enable them to determine the best answer choice. Lord, we ask that you touch teachers and proctors who are administering the tests. Help them to provide a good testing atmosphere, give teachers and proctors wisdom on how to meet the needs of the students to get them effectively through end of your testing.

Lord, we ask you to guide teachers and proctors on how to solve any technology issues which might happen. Father, we ask that you give Christian administrators knowledge on discerning the results of the end of year testing, which will be used to make some major decisions about next year’s school operations. Lord, let them use the data from the end of the year testing fairly and impartially without judgment of students or of teachers.

Lord, we ask that Christian students, teachers, and administrators call on your name before they test. Give them what they need, Lord, for these tests. Lord, we also pray for schools and districts that have been taken over by states, Lord. They are now under state control, Lord. Some of them are on probation, Lord, because of their learning results, Lord, and we just pray specifically for these following states who have districts under state control. For Alabama, for Indiana, for Massachusetts, and New Jersey, for Rhode Island, for Ohio, for South Carolina, for Texas, and for West Virginia, Lord, God.

Lord, we ask that in these states where teachers have lost their jobs and had to reapply to get them back, Lord. We ask that you give teachers strength. Lord, help them not to give up. Help them to remember what you say in Philippians 2:14 to 15. “Do all things without grumbling or disputing that you may be blameless and innocent. Children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation among who you shine as lights in the world.”

Lord, we pray for these administrators, these people that are making decisions about what schools to take over. Lord, we ask that you give them supreme wisdom, Lord, as this is a final step and that they have tried everything before they have to take over this school. We ask that the takeovers not be done out of discrimination, Lord or for publicity, Lord or for power, but they only be done to improve academics for children, Lord God. We trust you completely in this Lord. Help teachers not to give up, help them to lean into you, to press into you rather than to push you away during these trying times, Lord. We completely trust you in this, Lord, and we submit to your will. In Jesus’ name, we pray, amen.

We end our prayers with Ephesians 1:18 through 19. “I ask that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know the hope of his calling, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints and his incomparably great power for all of us who believe.
