A Prayer Of Confession And Seeking Divine Mercy

Supplication For Financial Help And Guidance For Teachers
Prayer of Supplication. Lord Jesus, hear our prayer. Look deep into our hearts and see the things we cannot say but are weighing us down with frustration, contempt, jealousy, hopelessness, and guilt. We release these burdens to you, Almighty One, Lion of Judah, our Waymaker and our Chain Breaker. Hallelujah.
Oh Emmanuel, you are God with us, and we pray now for those experiencing financial burdens, those parents of our students, Lord God, who are struggling to make ends meet and provide the basics for their families. Now, as a celebration of your birth approaches, they are feeling pressured to provide all the extras for their children.
Lord, we know that you’ll provide everything we need. In fact, you taught us to pray, “Give us this day our daily bread.” Lord, we ask that you give families the eyes to see that you do supply, that you do give us what we need when we need it. Help those who lack trust in your care for them to surrender their fear and commit all their needs to you. We trust you, Lord Jesus.

Lord, give teachers the extra energy to encourage fellow staff members who are dragging, hopeless, dealing with sickness, family struggles, and challenges in their classrooms. Lord, especially allow Christian teachers whose minds are set on you to help share the joy that they have in knowing you, especially as we prepare our hearts to celebrate your birth on Earth. That birth started your earthly journey to the cross, Lord, where you did what only you could do for us.
Praying For Prodigal Children And Strength For Parents
By your stripes, we are healed, Lord. We have the victory. Renew us, Lord, to be your Christmas ambassadors in our schools. Lord, give parents patience and trust in your timing as you draw their children to yourself. Keep parents, Lord, from blaming themselves, and strengthen their faith during this time as they wait on your work in their children, Lord God. Give them perseverance. Help them not to give up, Lord, lifting their children in prayer every minute of the day, knowing that you are at work in their lives.
