Prayercast: From Despair To Hope: Embracing God’s Guidance In The Heart Of Education
Prayer Of Adoration
Welcome and join in, shout for joy in the Lord, you righteous sinners that have been saved. Praise befits the upright. Give thanks to our Lord. Make melodies to Him. Sing to Him a new song. Play skiffly on the strings. Praise ye the Lord. Those of us that were once warriors, we are now hallelujah grateful for his name. Hallelujah. He made us praise Him and gave Him the praise. We thank you, Lord, that you created us fearfully and wonderfully.
We are excited on this day, but we have made it through another day. Abba Father, in the name of Jesus Christ. Some of us, Lord, we found ourselves in frustration. Lord, you have made our hearts glad. You have graced us with forgiveness and patience, and peace. You have held back no good thing from us, and we adore your mighty name. We give thanks to you, Oh Lord, for the word of you Lord is upright and all your works is done in faithfulness.
Oh Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ, you have graced us with your goodness. Abba Father, as we cried out to you and asked you for wisdom, did not look for a fault in us, but you gave it to us liberally. You gave it to us, Oh God, to be used in a way that will glorify your name, that we will go forth, Oh God, and judge in thy righteousness, Oh Lord, that we can make decisions, Oh God, for the disadvantaged that we can walk in goodness of you, that we can speak peace in chaos, that we can glorify your name.
We adore you on this day. For what it meant that you would think of us, all sinners, falling short of your glory, but when you saw that you could not swear by none of us. You swore by yourself, Abba Father, and you’ve given us love, power, and a sound mind. You that counted not robbery, you came into this place for such a time as this, Abba, and we adore you. Oh Lord, we just cannot sit back and listen in, but we join in with our whole hearts.
Father God, I pray, Lord, that this adoration, this time, Oh God of dedication to you, will provoke all those that are listening in to remember your faithfulness, your goodness. Oh, hallelujah, Lord. I pray that everyone that’s listening in, even now, God, that their hearts will rejoice, that they will offer up a sacrifice of joy. Lord, I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that they will find contentment in you, knowing that all things are working together for our good.
Lord, you have made our hearts glad. You have graced us with forgiveness, patience, and peace. You have held back no good thing from us, and we adore Your mighty name. Share on XLord, not because we are good but because you are good. Not that we first loved you, but that you loved us. Lord, who would not praise a God like you? Who would not worship one like you? You are worthy to be praised. We adore you. We stand in awe of you. Abba Father, we are grateful. Hallelujah. We are thankful. We rejoice in you. For you to gather us together at the end of a day with a sound mind, Lord, that you would gather us together at the end of the day.
Lord, blessing us to make it home safely, that you would gather us together in this place, God, to edify each other, to encourage each other, to provoke each other, to demonstrate your love one to another. Lord, you are so good to us. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. We give you all the honor, the glory, and the praise, Abba Father. As we continue, Lord. Hallelujah and confessions and thanksgiving, making our supplication known to you.
Abba Father, you said the effectual favorite prayers of the righteous avail much. You put it into action, God, and you’ve caused it to come to pass. Your word shall not return void. Lord, we ask you in this hour as we adore you, that you will be pleased with the words of our mouth, the meditation of our hearts, God. That you will examine us, Oh God. That you will be night to us, Oh God. Oh Lord, that you would hear us as we adore you and give you all the honor, the glory, and the praise. We say hallelujah for this unmerited favor.
Oh hallelujah, Oh hallelujah, Oh hallelujah, that your ways are not our ways, that even now your thoughts are not our thoughts, but your grace is sufficient even in the midst of what we may be thinking, even in the midst of what we may be meditating. You are faithful. You are merciful. Lord, we glorify you in this hour for you have had mercy on us and gathered us together for such a time as this. In your son, our savior, Jesus Christ’s name. Hallelujah and amen. Hallelujah.
Prayer Of Confession
Prayer of confession. Dear Heavenly Father, we come to you to confess our sins to each other and to pray for each other so that we may be healed. Your word tells us that the prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective. We acknowledge our sins to you because you are faithful and just, and you will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. Your word tells us that when we conceal our sins, we do not prosper.
When we do confess and renounce our sins, we find mercy. When we become aware that we are guilty of missing the mark, we must confess in what ways we have sinned. Father, we confess these areas of sin. We pray that you forgive us and help us repent of the times we have murmured and complained. Father, help us catch ourselves when we are grumbling, even if it is internally in our minds, and help us be grateful and see the blessings that are right there in front of us at that moment.
Lord, help us recognize that so many behaviors that are antisocial and harmful to others indicate that people are hurting and need You. Share on XHelp us appreciate your many blessings and the opportunities you give us each day to magnify your name. We pray that you forgive us and help us repent of being stressed out, anxious or worried about a lesson that flopped, a parent who’s upset, a child who craves negative attention, the lack of supplies, a very long to-do list, or a glitchy computer. Help us, Lord. Help us to cry out to you. You can show us how to do a better job with the lesson.
You can give us the exact words that a parent needs to hear. You can show us how to love the needy child. You can help us be creative and figure out how to make do without supplies. You can miraculously have other people complete items on our to-do lists, and you can make technology start working. We pray that you forgive us and help us repent of the times we choose to compare ourselves to others.
We pray that you help us see that making comparisons can cause us to fall into the sin of pride, and as we think we are better than others or it can cause us to fall into the trap of being jealous, envious, and or covetous. We pray that you forgive us and help us repent of neglecting to pray for the children and adults around us who are hurting.
Help us recognize that so many of the behaviors that are antisocial and harmful to others are an indication that people are hurting and need you. Help us pray for them immediately. Help us not gossip or seek to expose them. We pray that you forgive us and help us repent of being disrespectful to our students, our colleagues, or our administrators. Help us esteem others higher than ourselves.
Father, we come near to you and we know that you will come near to us. We wash our hands of these sins, and we ask for help to purify our hearts and help us not be double-minded. We rejoice that as we repent and turn to you, Lord, you take away our sins and that we can experience a time of refreshing and renewal in you. We praise you, Lord Jesus, and it’s in your name that we pray. Amen.
Prayer Of Thanksgiving
Prayer of Thanksgiving. Lord, thank you for your goodness. You are a good father. You have blessed us with a time of rest during break, and you have gifted us with quality time with family and friends, and opportunities for us to spend quality time with you, quality time in prayer and study, and meditation. Thank you, Lord, for leading us in spirit.
We know that our strength, resources, ideas, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control come from knowing and seeking You first. Share on XThank you for cleansing our hearts and renewing our minds and refreshing our spirits and directing us to keep our eyes on you so we can bless our students and families, and coworkers’ lives and serve them for your glory. Thank you for your purpose. Thank you for the gift of Jesus and our salvation. Thank you for your inspiration and the ability to create. For our creations and celebrations, honor you, our creator.

Thank you for our salvation and for being our high priest and making a way for us that we can approach the throne of glory. Lord, thank you. Prayer Of Supplication
Prayer of supplication. Psalm 40. “I waited patiently for the Lord. He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire. He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in Him.” Oh Lord, you guide us with your wise and all-knowing eye. We do fear you because of who you are, awesome and powerful, and also tender and merciful. With just a nod or a wink, you command your angels to minister to the people of this world. Thank you.
The teachers and school workers, and students you love. Your eye is upon us at all times. Thank you, Almighty God. Tonight, we ask to see our circumstances from your perspective, to see our students and coworkers through your gracious glasses. As we see them in love, we ask that you remove the shadows of shame and unworthiness or whatever it is that is keeping them from you. Remove it, Lord, so that they can see you in us as we minister to them and bring the gospel to them through our teaching.
Father, as we start the second half of our school year, we need you to give us fresh inspiration for our lessons and routines, ideas that honor you and provide joy and success for our students. Lord, we ask you to rekindle the hearts of the Christians in schools for prayer and worship, and fellowship together. Lord, we so often try every other way, but your way, before we get on our knees. Please put on the minds and hearts of teachers to pray through their day for their students, the situations, and the colleagues they’re interacting with.
Finally, Father God, we ask for perseverance to continue even when we do not see what you are doing. We will not give up because we know that our strength and our resources, our ideas, our patience, the kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control all come from knowing you and seeking you first. You, Oh God, are all we ever need. In Jesus’ name, amen.
