TEACHERS WHO PRAY held its first annual conference on June 9, 2012 at the Chicago home of its founder, Marilyn Rhames. The “Seed Planting” conference was kept small to symbolize the scripture founded in Matthew 17:20, how a small seed (14 strong TWP supporters) can turn into a tall tree (a national movement with chapters in every state, every school). It was a spirit-filled, two-and-a-half hours!
The Rhames home was not large enough to contain all of the many TWP supporters that exist. Pray that the next year’s TWP conference will be able to accommodate all of you–and more who we have yet to meet. We believe this movement, rooted in the power of Jesus Christ, will serve as a shelter for teachers, parents, and students (unofficially) in need of spiritual support. Marilyn Rhames planted the seed, members of TWP will keep watering it, but only God can increase it and make it grow. (I Corinthians 3:6).
Thank you for all your love and support of Teachers Who Pray! Stay tuned for exciting news about nationwide teacher registration coming soon to the TWP website!
